Windows XP - Change a users profile picture
Welcome to this Windows XP tutorial for changing a user's profile picture. You may want to do this to personalise your profile.

Windows XP - Change a user's profile picture
From the lower left side of the screen click the Start Menu button which will pop up and produce a vertical menu as pictured left.
At the top of the screen you will see a small picture with a name next to it. With your mouse click this small picture.
The box should look like the picture on the right. If you are changing the profile picture for the user who is logged on the simply choose one of the pictures displayed and click the 'Change picture' button.
If you are changing the picture for another user then click on the button labelled 'Home'.
You will see the heading for 'Pick an account to change'.
Click on the user you wish to change the profile picture for.
You will see a list of available options for the user that you selected.
The third option down is 'Change the picture'. Click the 'Change the picture' text.
You will now be brought back to the screen showing all the available profile pictures. From the available pictures click the the one you want then click the 'Change picture' button.
If you want to use your own picture then click the 'browse for more pictures' and choose the location and file from the dialog box.
Once you selected the picture you can close the user accounts box.
In the top right click the red box with the white X in it. This closes the user accounts box
