Mapped Drive - a mapped drive is used in networking. A computer will share a folder to the network and you can then map a drive letter such as R: to that shared folder. Rather than having to browse the network everytime you want to access the folder you click 'my computer' and access the 'R:' drive.

Memory - is often misunderstood or a misused word in my experience. Memory is RAM or random access memory which is a temporary place that your computer uses to load programs into. When the computer is shut down, the memory is cleared. Hard drives have 'space' not 'memory' as some people call it.

Mouse - is the thing under your hand! A device normally with two buttons that you move on the desk which allows the cursor on screen to move.

Monitor - is the thing you are looking at! The monitor is what displays the output from the graphics card inside your computer. The pixels on your screen are changing constantly although at such a fast rate you cannot see them flicker.
